Varathane 1 qt. Gray Classic Wood Interior Stain is designed to enrich the natural grain of interior wood surfaces such as furniture, cabinets, doors, and trim, offering a rich and natural color enhancement with a gray hue. It can be easily applied using a high-quality synthetic brush, lint-free cloth, or foam applicator, ensuring smooth and even coverage. This stain allows for customization of color depth or achieving a darker shade by applying additional coats. The semi-transparent formula maintains the wood's natural grain appearance while deeply penetrating to provide durable protection. Each quart covers up to 150 sq. ft., and it can be recoated in just 2 hours to intensify the color. Available in a versatile assortment of colors, it facilitates seamless matching with previously stained projects. Most surfaces or projects typically require two coats, with the option to apply more coats for a personalized finish. The final coat dries within 4 hours, after which polyurethane may be applied for added protection. For optimal results, allow 8 hours before applying oil-based polyurethane and 24 hours before water-based polyurethane.
